Painting and Silhouette Test

This was a ink and paint test done from an old pencil animation I had laying around that I used to try out inking and painting in Photoshop. I liked the control of line work that I was able to get, and it is definitely a benefit to use a software that I'm so comfortable in. Also, everyone seems to love this goofy bird!

I did this as an additional pipeline test in Photoshop, attempting to just paint in the silhouette first. It turned out interesting and thought it would be worth sharing, although I found working without lifework to be slower in some ways.

Lastly, this test was taken through white painting behind the silhouettes of pencil drawings, in order to keep the original pencil style lines from the paper drawings. I really like the natural look of this style. Perhaps a combination of all three test will make my final look for the film?
